Nintendo properties we'd love to see on Switch

From Animal Crossing to F-Zero, there are plenty of properties left for Nintendo to release on the Switch.

Luigi’s Mansion

“Wait, isn’t the original Luigi’s Mansion releasing to Nintendo 3DS this year? And don’t we also have Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for 3DS?” Yes, you are correct. There are a grand total of two Luigi’s Mansion titles, both for the 3DS. What about Nintendo Switch, though? We’ve harped on the Switch’s Joy-Con capabilities throughout this list, but you have to admit, they'd be perfect for sucking up spooks using Luigi’s Poltergust 5000.

And, to keep things from getting stale, we'd love to see Nintendo release a Luigi’s Mansion sequel for the Switch rather than simply porting the original and/or Dark Moon. There are some kinks with the suggestion of a sequel, like how Luigi would come by a second haunted mansion after his ordeal with the first. But c’mon, this is Nintendo.

If anyone can continue a series like Luigi’s Mansion, it’s Nintendo! While unlikely as hell, a part of us will continue to hold onto the hope that one day we may get a brand new Luigi’s Mansion title. One that’s specifically designed for Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Stadium/Pokemon Snap

Even considering the upcoming release of Pokémon: Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee, there’s a stark absence of Pokémon titles for Nintendo Switch. The Wii U had Pokken Tournament, which we can’t deny would also do well on the Switch should it get a re-release (like Mario Kart 8). However, there are a few other Pokémon titles worthy of release on Switch.

For example, a new Pokémon Stadium or Pokémon Snap game. With the capabilities of the Joy-Con controllers, games like Pokémon Snap could really be brought to life. Both Stadium and Snap have a nice nostalgia factor for hardcore Nintendo fans, and kids who never had the opportunity to enjoy the titles would undoubtedly have a blast checking them out.

It’s hard to pick one over the other, so we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for both. Maybe if Pokémon: Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee fare well it’ll motivate the company to explore other Pokémon properties in the future. What do you think? Would you love to play Pokémon Stadium or Pokémon Snap on Nintendo Switch? Let us know!

Additionally, are there any Nintendo properties we didn’t list that you’d love to see on Nintendo Switch? Sound off some games you think should come to the Switch and why in the comments below!
