All Super Gems and Bonus Objectives in Episode 1 of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

There are 3 Super Gems per level in Episode 1 of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

In Episode 1 of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, each level contains a total of 3 Super Gems. Additionally, there’s typically 1 Bonus Objective per level, and each Bonus Objective grants a different reward.

These rewards are often useful, so we recommend also taking the time to find the Bonus Objectives along with the hidden Super Gems in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

We’ve broken down the locations of all Super Gems and Bonus Objectives in Episode 1 of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker by level.

Level 1) Plucky Pass Beginnings

  • Bonus Objective: To find the first Bonus Objective, pull the plants near the Shy Guy. In doing so, you’ll be granted a Pickaxe Power-Up which can be used to break through stone block below you. There, you’ll find a Gold Mushroom.
  • Super Gem #1: Found by entering the alcove in the hill near the starting area.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found near the lift by tapping the POW Block and making your way through the brick wall.
  • Super Gem #3: Found after pulling the plunger near the tower ramp to raise the platform, then heading towards the Toads on the hill.

Level 2) Walleye Tumble Temple

  • Bonus Objective: Instead of walking across the starting bridge, drop down instead as the bridge will break if you try and cross.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found at the spinning platform bridge on the island after the first platform.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found inside the temple by walking right at the circular first floor spinning passage. There, you’ll find a hidden alcove and the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found at the top of the temple on the other side of the breakable bridge.

You may need to rotate the camera a few times to spot some of the Super Gems in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Level 3) Touchstone Trouble

  • Bonus Objective: Complete the stage in three taps. This can be done by walking to the pink platform, tapping once, then heading to the blue platform. Tap this once to raise it, then reach the high pink ledge. Tap one more time to reach the Bonus Objective (a Star).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found by standing on the pink platform and moving it to reveal a hidden alcove in the blue platform wall.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after you get the key from the blue platform. Head to the ramp below the pink platform, then use the key on the door to unlock the next Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Near the key root on the blue platform, move the pink platform to enter a secret passage that leads to the last Super Gem.

Level 4) Mushroom Mesa

  • Bonus Objective: Pull turnips and use these to defeat all of the enemies (two Flying Birds, two Shy Guys). Note that you can touch enemies to temporarily stun them, making them easier to hit and defeat.
  • Super Gem #1: This Super Gem can be found on the starting path in Mushroom Mesa by entering the cracked wall and taking the second door to the secret path.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after you defeat the Shy Guys by pulling turnips near the stone mushroom.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found near the exit after you ride the three touch platforms. Here, you’ll enter an alcove in the third touch platform. Ride it down into a secret area to find the last Super Gem.

Level 5) Double Cherry Palace

  • Bonus Objective: To get this Bonus Objective, collect 70 coins in the Double Cherry Palace level. Note there are several coins in the level’s hedge maze.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found in the hedge maze. There’s a root that moves around, corner it and grab it to get the first Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found while going through the interior of the castle. Drop into the basement. Here, you’ll find a door on the left. Head inside this door to get the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found a floor below the second Super Gem. Here, you’ll reach two balconies with a moving root running between them. Pull the root to get the third Super Gem.

Level 6) Shy Guy Heights

  • Bonus Objective: To get this Bonus Objective, you’ll need to remember not to run as this will alert the Shy Guys. Instead, move slowly and try and sneak past them (don’t stand directly in front of them).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found in the corner of the first hedge maze. Simply climb the ladder past the first Shy Guy and walk over the arches to collect the first Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found across the bridge. Here, you’ll find a wall of stone blocks. Pull all the roots nearby to get a Pickaxe Power-Up. Blast through to get the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found by climbing into the small house and entering the interior beneath the room. Through the balcony, you’ll spot the third Super Gem.

Level 7) Spinwheel Library

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective after you turn the platform to reach the exit star. Here, you’ll spot an alcove near the bottom of the steps that leads to the ladder. Take this to get the Bonus Objective (Gold Mushroom).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found by turning the crank wheel to get the stairs needed to reach the alcove below the star rooftop.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after turning the wheel until you find an alcove within the spinning platform.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found after turning the crank so there’s a flat bookshelf wall. Here, walk into the alcove near the bottom-left corner and enter the purple pipe. Approach the Toads below and you’ll find the third Super Gem.

Level 8) Mine Cart Tunnel Throwdown

  • Bonus Objective: This Bonus Objective is easy, as it only requires you to shoot all of the flying enemies found in the level.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found right as you board the cart. Immediately turn around to find the first Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after riding the ramp down. Look to your left to spot a square block. Hit the POW and you’ll reveal the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found after you pass the second Super Gem. Here, you’ll encounter a tall stack of blocks. Hit the blocks to knock the third Super Gem down.

Level 9) Spinwheel Bullet Bill Base

  • Bonus Objective: This Bonus Objective can be collected in a small alcove near the level exit. Spin the last crank until you encounter a tiny alcove with the Bonus Objective (Gold Mushroom).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found inside the spinning stairs you use to reach the double Bullet Bill cannon.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after spinning the double Bullet Bill cannons to blast through the stone blocks in the corner.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found after you use the crank to turn the bridge with the cannon. Aim for the moving platform with stone blocks. Break one of these blocks, and you’ll be able to ride the platform to the third Super Gem.

Level 10) The King of Pyropuff Peak

  • Bonus Objective: To get this Bonus Objective, you’ll need to collect 45 coins in The King of Pyropuff Peak level.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found on the bottom floor. It’ll be located on a small raised platform before the first climbable ladder.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found by checking behind the second ladder. Here, you’ll spot a moving wall with a ladder on the opposite side. Climb this ladder and hang on to snag the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found at the top of the third ladder. You’ll spot roots. Pull all four roots to reveal the third Super Gem.

Level 11) Piranha Creeper Cove

  • Bonus Objective: To get this Bonus Objective, collect 70 coins in the Piranha Creeper Cove.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found on the beach. Here, you’ll want to look for a small cave in the rocks opposite the lowest pink piranha plant.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after the cave. Drop down into the water, then turn toward the long path with the piranha plant. To ensure you get through alive, keep touching the piranha plant to leave it stunned.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found at the top of the level. Simply keep walking back and forth on the hanging wooden bridge until it breaks. Then, enter the hidden area with the root to get the third Super Gem.

Level 12) Briny Bowl Swimming Hole

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective by pulling the plug on the rectangular platform. Then, drop back into the water and pull on the sand until you find the Bonus Objective (Gold Mushroom).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found near the underwater blue pipe after you pull all three roots.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after you fall into the water from the area mentioned above and reach the rectangular platform. Pull the plug to make it rise, enabling you to access the floating platform with the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found after you ride the blue pipe up and walk over the wooden platform with stairs. This will cause it to sink, allowing you to reach the third Super Gem underwater.

Level 13) Turnip Cannon Jungle

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective by using the turnip cannon in the center, but only firing once. Make sure you shoot the stone block that’s in front of the Bonus Objective (Star).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found after you enter the cave below the level’s starting point. Here, you’ll need to use the purple pipe inside to catch the root moving around.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found underneath the exit stairs. Here, you’ll find a single root. Pull it to reveal the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found after you use the turnip cannon to shoot the floating power gem in the circular hole.

Level 14) Pop-Up Prairie Town

  • Bonus Objective: You can get the Bonus Objective by pulling the second plug and dropping down. At the first vertical lift platform, cross into a hidden door to reveal the Bonus Objective (1-Up).
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found under the first plug platform. Pull it and drop down to find the first Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found near the end of the Pop-Up Prairie Town level. Here, you’ll spot two blue plugs. Pull the plug farthest from the star, then drop down and enter the door opposite the small yellow ladder to find the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found by pulling the second blue plug and riding the yellow platform to the third Super Gem in the corner.

Level 15) Drop-Road Dash

  • Bonus Objective: To get this Bonus Objective, replay the level and don’t use any turnips against the flying bug enemies.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found near the blue block with three roots.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after you head past another green block with three roots on an optional path.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found at the corner near the exit. Here, you’ll want to stop at the large block and throw a turnip at the blue platform with the third Super Gem to collect it.

Level 16) Bizarre Doors of Boo Mansion

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective by completing the level in only four touches. To do this, note that you only need to touch the first door twice, and the second set of doors twice. You don’t need to touch the last door at all.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found by pulling the root to the right of the first door in the mansion.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found by moving the touch platform and entering the bottom door to reach the corner platform with the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found on top of the stack of Goombas. Move the platform door, then enter so you fall on top of the Goomba tower with the third Super Gem.

Level 17) Blizzard on the Star Express

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective (1-Up) by pulling the touch cord in the Train Engine Room.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found on top of the first train car. Here, you’ll want to look in the third square to spot an alcove with the first Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found inside the passenger car. Simply head inside the first room, climb up, then drop down into the second room. From here, you can reach the second Super Gem in the closet.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found hidden in the Cargo Room under a pile of breakable blocks. To break through, simply touch the blocks and you’ll be able to collect the third Super Gem.

Level 18) Wingo’s Watchtower

  • Bonus Objective: You can get this Bonus Objective by completing the level with 70 coins.
  • Super Gem #1: Can be found at the base of the tower. Here, you’ll spot a blue plug in the back corner. This raises the platform with the first Super Gem on it.
  • Super Gem #2: Can be found after you climb the tower and reach the third floor. Head to the back, and there you’ll find a single platform you can drop down onto. Drop down to reach the second Super Gem.
  • Super Gem #3: Can be found near the end of the level. When you reach the platform with two ladders, head to the opposite side and wait for the platform to slide over to the smaller platform with a ladder in order to get the third Super Gem.

With Episode 1 of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker completed, you should have a grand total of 54 Super Gems and will have found 18 Bonus Objectives.
