Skyrim has finally made its way onto the Nintendo Switch, bringing Bethesda’s latest Elder Scrolls platform count to six. The advantage the Nintendo Switch has over the other platforms when it comes to Skyrim is that you can use Amiibo figurines to unlock awesome armor, weapons, and gear sets in the game.

How to use Amiibos in Skyrim

To use your Amiibos in Skyrim on your Nintendo Switch, you must simply tap a compatible Amiibo on the Switch while in-game. Tapping a compatible Legend of Zelda character once a day will give you a chance to gain Legend of Zelda-themed gear. You can potentially collect the Master Sword, Hylian shield, and Champion’s Tunic.

Using a Legend of Zelda Amiibo gives you a chance at earning Zelda-themed gear.

You can also tap non-Legend of Zelda Amiibos in order to receive a chest of loot, however these do not reward you with gear inspired by the Zelda series. The same daily limitations apply, you can only tap once daily at a chance for loot.

The following Amiibos can be used in Skyrim to gain a chance of Legend of Zelda gear:

  • Bokoblin
  • Daruk
  • Ganondorf
  • Guardian
  • Link
  • Link (Archer)
  • Link (Rider)
  • Link – Majora’s Mask
  • Link – Ocarina of Time
  • Link – Skyward Sword
  • Link – The Legend of Zelda
  • Link – Twilight Princess
  • Mipha
  • Revail
  • Sheik
  • Toon Link
  • Toon Link – The Wind Waker
  • Urbosa

All the other Amiibo figurines can be used in Skyrim for a chance at the loot chest. There are currently 132 other Amiibos currently available, check out the Nintendo Amiibo page for a full list. Using Amiibos in Skyrim is really that simple, select the Amiibo you want to use and tap it once a day on your Nintendo Switch while you play Skyrim!
