How to Get Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter: World

To get Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter: World, you’ll first need to know what monsters drop the material and where to find them. Currently, there are only two monsters in Monster Hunter: World that drop Monster Fluid: the Vespoid, and the Hornetaur. Note that both monsters have about a 20% chance of dropping Monster Fluid, even when players are able to body carve these monsters.

Now that you know which monsters drop Monster Fluid, you’ll need to know where to find each monster in Monster Hunter: World. According to information from the Monster Hunter Wiki, the Vespoid can be found in Ancient Forest (area 6, 16), Wildspire Waste (area 8, 9, 12), Coral Highlands, and Rotten Vale. Vespoid also appears in the quest “Exterminator of the Waste.”

Meanwhile, the Hornetaur can be found in Rotten Vale (area 3, 4) and various quests. The quests where Hornetaur can be found include Radobaan Roadblock, Into the Bowels of the Vale, and Persistent Pests. By targeting monsters like the Vespoid and Hornetaur, players will be able to farm Monster Fluid.

Using Monster Fluid, players can improve their Equipment and its performance. Additionally, Monster Fluid is used to craft a variety of weapons and armor. Weapons that use Monster Fluid include:

  • Dark Shotel I
  • Taurus Pangas I
  • Taurus Lance I
  • Sonic Horn II

Armor that uses Monster Fluid include:

  • Butterfly Elytra
  • Butterfly Crura
  • Vespoid Vambraces
  • Vespoid Greaves
  • King Beetle Elytra
  • King Beetle Crura
  • Hornetaur Helm
  • Hornetaur Greaves
  • Death Stench Muscle
  • Death Stench Bowels
