Saints Row The Third is coming to Nintendo Switch

Gat's entertainment.

Volition's off-the-wall sandbox crime caper Saints Row The Third is coming to Nintendo Switch in March 2019, publisher Deep Silver has announced. The news marks the outrageous series' debut on Nintendo hardware.

The game, first released in 2011, follows the Third Street Saints gang as they are elevated from criminal enterprise to celebrity status. That coincides with the rise of a rival gang, The Syndicate, in the city of Steelport and soon enough you're romping around the streets, undertaking missions to put them in their place. While the game lacks the truly gonzo excess of Saints Row 4, it definitely ends up in some weird places by the time the end credits roll.

The big question: does this mean Saints Row 1, 2 and 4 are also in the pipeline for Switch?
