In Fear the Wolves, players have been wondering what weapons are available in the game and what the corresponding stats are for each weapon. There are a wide variety of weapons to choose from in Fear the Wolves including pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, assault rifles, and melee weapons.

All Weapons and Weapon Stats in Fear the Wolves

There are a variety of weapons available in Fear the Wolves, each with their own unique stats. You can carry up to four weapons at a time, so knowing which weapons to pick up and which to leave behind can help you be better prepared for different situations in Fear the Wolves.

Below, you’ll find a quick overview of the weapons in each weapon class in Fear the Wolves!

Pistols

• CZ75b: One of the best pistols available in Fear the Wolves. Features high stability, high accuracy, and deals the most damage out of all available handguns in Fear the Wolves. Effective up to 20 meters.
• Fort 17: Second best pistol in Fear the Wolves. Features a high rate of fire and low clip size. Suffers from moderate stability and poor accuracy. Effective up to 20 meters.
• Beretta 93R: The only pistol in Fear the Wolves with a burst firing mode. Also has the highest rate of fire among pistols in Fear the Wolves. Moderate stability, and joins the APS in having the worst accuracy among pistols in Fear the Wolves. Effective up to 20 meters.
• APS: The only pistol in Fear the Wolves with an automatic fire mode. High damage, high firing rate, moderate stability. Balanced by having the worst accuracy (next to the Beretta 93R) in Fear the Wolves. Effective up to 20 meters.

Shotguns

• TOZ-34: The best shotgun in Fear the Wolves. Deals the highest amount of damage, but that damage is relegated to 2 shots per clip. Suffers from low stability and poor accuracy. Effective up to 5 meters.
• Vepr-12: Has the highest clip size among shotguns in Fear the Wolves with the ability to fire 6 shots per clip. Has a high rate of fire among shotguns and moderate stability, but poor accuracy. Effective up to 5 meters.
• Remington 870: Comparable to the TOZ-34 in damage, the Remington 870 can fire 4 shots per clip. Slightly improved stability, but still suffers from poor accuracy. Effective up to 5 meters.

SMGs

• Vector: Has the highest rate of fire among SMGs in Fear the Wolves, but also the lowest clip size. We recommend the Vector due to its high stability and forgiving nature, even though it suffers from accuracy troubles like the rest of the SMGs on this list.
• UZI: Comparable to the Vector as one of the best SMGs in Fear the Wolves. The UZI has the highest rate of damage, a moderate firing rate, and moderate stability. Accuracy is still poor, but slightly better than SMGs like the UMP45. Effective up to 50 meters.
• UMP45: Has the highest accuracy among SMGs in Fear the Wolves. Firing rate and stability are both moderate, though the UMP45 suffers from poor accuracy. Effective up to 50 meters.
• AEK-919: Has a high firing rate, and deals a solid chunk of damage. Also has the highest clip size among SMGs at 30 bullets per clip. Features lower accuracy than that of the UMP45, but comparable stability. Effective up to 50 meters.

Assault Rifles and LMGs

• RPD: The only LMG in Fear the Wolves, though it’ll certainly appeal to gamers thanks to its high clip size of 100 bullets per clip. It features forgiving stability and a decent amount of damage. However, accuracy can be problematic. Effective up to 100 meters.
• Groza: Deals the highest amount of damage among Assault Rifles and LMGs in Fear the Wolves. Comparable firing rate, stability, and accuracy to the VHS-2 and M4, yet preferable to both due to its damage output. Effective up to 100 meters.
• A-545: Has the highest rate of fire among Assault Rifles and LMGs in Fear the Wolves. Because of this, it deals some of the highest damage (next to the Groza) among weapons of this class. Accuracy is slightly lower than other guns on this list, but it makes up for this dip in accuracy with higher stability. Effective up to 100 meters.
• VHS-2: One of the few fully automatic Assault Rifles and LMGs in Fear the Wolves. Stats are balanced with high damage, high firing rate, and moderate accuracy and stability. Similar, yet preferable to the M4. Effective up to 100 meters.
• M4: Only offers two firing modes, single fire and burst fire. As such, it offers no automatic firing mode. Decent damage and firing rate with moderate accuracy and stability. It’s not impressive, but it gets the job done. Effective up to 100 meters.
• AK-74: Worst accuracy and worst stability among Assault Rifles and LMGs in Fear the Wolves. The gun is moderate when it comes to firing rage, but should definitely be traded if you come across a different weapon in this class. Effective up to 100 meters.

Sniper Rifles

• SV98: Has the highest damage among sniper rifles in Fear the Wolves, but the lowest firing rate at 1 bullet per clip. Accuracy and stability are high, though not as high as the VSS Vintorez. The SV98 is effective up to 150 meters, and is best used for sniping from guarded locations in order to safely reload after each shot.
• VSS Vintorez: Has the highest rate of fire among sniper rifles in Fear the Wolves. Also features the highest accuracy and stability in the game, though its damage output is relatively low. Can switch between two firing modes, semi-automatic and fully automatic. Effective up to 75 meters.
• SVU: The SVU deals more damage and is better for sniping long distances as it’s effective up to 150 meters. However, it has lower accuracy and stability than the VSS Vintorez so new players may struggle to land shots.

Grenades

• Stun Grenade: Will stun an enemy for 6 seconds, effective up to 2 meters.
• Smoke Grenade: Creates a smokescreen that lasts 30 seconds. Best used in close quarters to disorient enemies.

Melee Weapons

• Axe: The Axe is currently the only melee weapon available in Fear the Wolves, at least during the beta period. Additional melee weapons will likely be added in prior to the game’s official release. Until then, the Axe is slightly better than your fists, dealing 58 damage with a hit range of 85 and a range of attack at 35. It can be used to kill wolves in order to conserve ammo, or take out unarmed enemies early in the game.
