September's Legendary Pokémon are Latias and Latios, who are available now for Pokémon Sun & Moon, as well as Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon.
Pokémon's year of Legendaries is coming to a close, but we still have a few more months of special appearances to enjoy. This month, from September 1-23, the twin legendaries Latias and Latios can be obtained as a mystery gift from the main menu for European players, or by visiting a Best Buy and getting the code to download for US players.
Latias and Latios first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire but have since joined many other titles, even receiving Mega evolutions of their standard forms. The two were designed to resemble jet planes, leading to their sleek bodies without curling wings.
As shown above, Nintendo released the levels, abilities and moves for both Latias and Latios, which differ depending on the version of the game you own. Pokémon Sun or Ultra Sun owners can obtain Latias, while Latios will be delivered to Pokémon Moon or Ultra Moon owners. While each has the Levitate ability, the movesets differ slightly between the regular and Ultra versions of the games. Grabbing them is simple, but in case you're not taken part in the year of legendary Pokémon before, we've outlined the steps below:
How to get Latias and Latios in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
- If you're living in the US, visit a participating Best Buy store to get the code/password.
- Open up your copy of Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon.
- From the main menu, select Mystery Gift.
- If you are in the US, choose to get the gift with a Code/Password from Best Buy
- Choose to receive the Gift via the internet.
- Latias or Latios will download to your game immediately!
