All of Anthem's story DLC will be completely free

Continue the saga without breaking the bank.

Following on from yesterday's news regarding Anthem's simplifed conversation systems during the game's first-person RPG-style hub encounters, developer Bioware has made another major reveal regarding the game at PAX West. All the story-based DLC for the game will be released for free.

Bioware has also insisted that there will be no loot boxes or chances to pay to boost your in-game power unfairly. This all suggests that whatever paid post-launch content the game does offer will be cosmetic in nature. Last week, game director Jon Warner told GamesIndustry.biz that "we never ever want people to regret spending time with us, or spending money with us, and that's something that's really important to us as gamers and as creators."

Anthem launches in February 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
