Shifty Shafts Treasure Map Location for Fortnite - Season 5, Week 9

Learn where the Shifty Shafts Treasure Map leads you to claim this week's Fortnite Battle Pass challenge stars.

Fortnite's next week of Battle Pass challenges are out in the wild, and this time there's yet another Treasure Map leading to a trove of 10 stars. This week's Treasure Map appears in Shifty Shafts, but as per usual there's no need for you to visit the Map itself if you want to complete the challenge. According to this week's Treasure Map, Fortnite's eager pirates have stashed their goods on a steep, multi-level hill/cliff structure that's smattered with a few trees. Not the most obvious location, but fortunately we've already found the spot, saving you a lengthy spot of searching. In this article we'll teach you where the Shifty Shafts Treasure Map Location is in Fortnite Season 5, Week 9.

The Shifty Shafts Treasure Map Location

  • The southeast platform on the multi-level hill/cliff in Grid Reference F-6. The hill is southwest of Dusty Divot and north of Salty Springs.

The spot you're looking for in this week's challenge is right here on the multi-tiered hill on grid square F-6. It's very close to Dusty Divot and Salty Springs, so you need to watch out for players who land in these spots and might be waiting for some easy kills (of course, you could always try this trick yourself...). Look southwest from Dusty Divot or north from salty springs and the structure should be easily in sight. You need to land on the platform at the southeast edge - it should be on a ledge raised just above a small campsite with two tents and a fire. You should see a medium sized rock and a tree on the ledge. The Battle Star will appear on the corner of the platform once the challenges go live.

The easiest way to claim this star is to drop directly to this location from the game's start. If you don't, you'll need to harvest a good number of materials before you make your way to the structure as the walls are steep cliff edges without any way to get up without building. If you miss the landing, don't panic. There are plenty of trees in the nearby area to harvest, or you can grab the brick or wood from Salty Springs or Dusty Divot before you walk over. Just be careful as many other players may be heading there for the same goal!

Congratulations! You've earned yourself 10 stars with minimal effort by following our guide to the Shifty Shafts Treasure Map Location. The rest of this week's challenges are fairly straight forward, requiring you to earn kills or damage, search chests and use vehicles, as well as having a nice Dance Off with another player near Loot Lake! You likely won't need help for any of these, but we have plenty of other Fortnite guides available.
