Sega's funky dance game Space Channel 5 is coming to PlayStation VR

Ooh la la, Ulala!

Cult dancing game Space Channel 5 is coming to virtual reality, as Sega has announced a PlayStation VR version of the 1999 Dreamcast hit.

Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash is the full title and it certainly looks to retain all of the kitsch charm of the original. Sassy news reporter Ulala is the hero of the game, repelling the alien invasion of a space station with her 1960s mod fashions and choreographed dance moves.

Quite how the rhythm action will translate to VR isn't entirely clear just yet, although it seems inevitable that motion tracking with the PlayStation Move controllers will feature heavily.

There's no date for the release yet, but all indications are that the game is ready to launch before the end of the year. Time to dust off your orange PVC miniskirt.
