Sony announces miniature PlayStation Classic console
Sony is the latest hardware company to join the miniature retro console trend, with the announcment of the PlayStation Classic, a tiny direct-to-TV device modeled after the iconic 1990s console and pre-loaded with 20 games.
The device is 45% smaller than the original PlayStation model, and has lots of neat touches. The reset button stores your game status and while the disc tray doesn't open, the button for that is what lets you swap between games. It comes with an HDMI cable and two controllers.
As for games, a full list has yet to be revealed but it will definitely come with Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms.
The PlayStation Classic will retail for $99.99 and launches on December 3. Give yourself a bonus cookie if you recognized that date as the anniversary of the original console's Japanese debut way back in 1994.
