Where to find all Legendary Fish

Before you can dive in to the Legendary Fish hunt, you’ll first want to make sure you know how to fish in Red Dead Redemption 2. With that knowledge, you then need to splash out on some Special Lures. Legendary Fish can only be caught with certain lures that depend on the region you’re fishing. These are the Special River Lure, Special Lake Lure, and Special Swamp Lure. Even if you perch on the riverbank for hours, without the right lure you won’t see a sole.

All the Special Lures can be bought from the shop in New Hanover (look for Lake Lagras in the Bayou Nwa region) for $20, so stock up. Despite their very specific names, you can actually use any of the Special Lures in any of the correct locations to catch the Legendary Fish, but the appropriate Lure will increase your odds notably. With a pack full of lures you’re now ready, so head to any of the locations below to get started.
