Pokemon Go gets a surprise visit from legendary Ho-oh in new raid

Oh Ho-oh, Merry (early) Christmas.

Ubisoft Reflections aren’t the only ones pulling surprise releases this week as Pokemon Go has just let its final legendary bird out of the cage.

After the community worked overtime to catch enough Pokemon in the Global Catch Challenge last week to unlock Farfetch’d, the developers announced last night that Ho-oh will appear in legendary raid battles until the end of next week.

This seems like a nice way to end the year, as Pokemon Go will soon be turning attention to the third generation of Pokemon.

Global Catch Challenge rewards, including double XP and Stardust, will be active until this Friday as well, so make sure to equip a Lucky Egg if you’re going to try the raid as there’s about 40,000XP up for grabs there.
