Trinkets and Talismans offer handy buffs in Red Dead Redemption 2, but if you’ve been eyeing up the Bison Horn Talisman’s 10% Stamina boost, you may have spotted that you’ll also need a mysterious Abalone Shell Fragment to craft it. While most items are harvestable or can be earned through hunting, the Abalone Shell Fragment is oddly a unique item that only appears in a single spot on RDR2’s sprawling map. Fortunately we’ve already hunted it down, so in this article we’ll teach you where to find the Abalone Shell Fragment in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Where to find the Abalone Shell Fragment in Red Dead Redemption 2
The Abalone Shell Fragment is tucked away in a rather unsuspecting small house north of Rhodes, Lemoyne. If you’ve not been there before, Rhodes is in Scarlett Meadows, in the southwest portion of Lemoyne, south of Southfield Flats/Mattock Pond and west of the Kamassa River.
What you’re looking for is a rather decrepit-looking, single-story, wooden house with terraces overhanging the doors on each end. It’s on the north side of town, a short walk from the main clump of buildings. You’ll find most of the doors to the house locked, but if you walk round to the town side you can enter the workshop at one end. Inside you’ll find the shiny blue Abalone Shell Fragment sitting on the workbench just waiting for you to snatch it.
It’s certainly a bizarre place to store a crucial crafting component, but with the Abalone Shell Fragment now in your possession you’re well on your way to crafting the Bison Horn Talisman.
