Today, a new teaser trailer for Far Cry was posted along with the information that an announcement pertaining to the Far Cry series will be unveiled at The Game Awards tomorrow, December 6. The trailer comes in just under one minute in duration and shows a post-apocalyptic setting complete with a mushroom cloud and mass destruction.
As many have suggested, the trailer seems to hint at a new Far Cry game rather than simple DLC. This speculation is based on how Far Cry 5 ends, though if you’ve yet to play or finish the game we won’t be posting any spoilers here. Instead, we’ll say that it definitely seems likely that the trailer is for a new game rather than DLC for Far Cry 5.
Of course, we could be wrong and the trailer could indeed be hype for a new Far Cry 5 story expansion, or even a completely different Far Cry spin-off. Whether the trailer is for Far Cry 6, DLC for Far Cry 5, or something completely out of left field, we’ll have to wait until The Game Awards to learn more. The Game Awards are scheduled to take place tomorrow, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. (PST) and 8:30 p.m. (EST).
