Obsidian announce The Outer Worlds at TGA 2018

From the original creators of Fallout comes a new title called The Outer Worlds.

At The Game Awards 2018, a new game from Obsidian was revealed called The Outer Worlds. In the trailer, fans got a taste of a brand new adventure from “the original creators of Fallout” and “the developers of Fallout: New Vegas.” From what we can see in the trailer, the game looks like an interesting blend of Fallout, BioShock, and maybe a bit of Borderlands for good measure.

In the trailer's description, The Outer Worlds is described as follows:

"In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable."

Overall, it looks like a ton of fun, and we’d be lying if we said we aren’t interested in checking it out. The Outer Worlds is scheduled to release in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think of the game? Are you planning on checking it out? Let us know down in the comments below. Note that we’ll be updating this article as more information on The Outer Worlds is unveiled.
