MTG Arena esports event coming to PAX East 2019

At The Game Awards 2018, the first esports event for Magic: the Gathering Arena was announced.

At The Game Awards 2018, the first esports event for Magic: the Gathering Arena was announced with a whopping $1 million prize pool at stake. The event will take place at PAX East 2019, with more tournaments to come as hinted by Wizards of the Coast. To practice before the event, you can download Magic: the Gathering Arena for free right now.

Looking to get your hand on a starter deck? You can use the code “GAMEAWARDS” in Magic: the Gathering Arena to get a starter deck for free. To do this, open up Magic: the Gathering: Arena and navigate to the store. At the bottom left corner, you’ll see a “redeem code” section. Select this, then enter the code “GAMEAWARDS” to get your starter deck.
