Well, if you want to have friends over to play multiplayer games and they don’t own an Xbox One, you’ll need a second controller.

Alternatively, if you plan on doing a gaming marathon where you play Red Dead Redemption 2 all night, you’ll eventually need to recharge your Xbox Wireless Controller. By owning a second Xbox Wireless Controller, you can swap out controllers and keep playing without interruption. Finally, the Xbox Wireless Controller that comes bundled with the Xbox One S or Xbox One X is a stock color.
