Today officially marks the start of the 2018 Steam Winter Sale. As expected, hundreds of games have been deeply discounted including new titles like Monster Hunter World and Dead Cells. For those looking to earn free gifts and rewards, Steam users can visit the “Extremely Cozy Cottage” this year, which feels similar to those windowed Christmas calendars.

Each day, you can interact with the Extremely Cozy Cottage section of Steam and earn free, randomized rewards like emoticons and wallpaper backgrounds for your profile. You can also get consumables that can be used to secure the Knick-Knack Collector Badge if earning Steam badges is your thing. If Steam badges don’t interest you, you can now vote for your favorite games nominated by the Steam Awards.
By navigating to the Steam Awards section, you can cast your vote in a variety of categories from Game of the Year to Best Developer.
