Xbox Game Pass new releases in January 2019

Several new titles are being added to Xbox Game Pass during the month of January. Starting on January 3, Xbox Game Pass owners can grab a copy of Ark: Survival Evolved. Wondering what Ark: Survival Evolved is? Well, if you’ve ever wanted to live in a world that’s reminiscent of Jurassic Park, Ark: Survival Evolved is definitely one to check out.

While it's the game’s intricate survival mechanics can be challenging to master at first, but once you become comfortable with the gameplay, Ark: Survival Evolved is an absolute blast. You know, when you’re not being attacked by giant dinosaurs. Best of all, the game s freely available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, meaning you lose nothing if you end up disliking the game. 

Xbox Game Pass - All New Releases for January 2019

Alongside Ark, the first episode of Life is Strange 2 will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on January 3. Unlike previous Life is Strange games including the prequel (Life is Strange: Before the Storm), Life is Strange 2 follows a new set of characters on a journey of self-discovery.

Personally, we feel that having the first episode of Life is Strange 2 available on January 3 is rather convenient. This is because the second episode of Life is Strange 2 will reportedly drop on January 24, giving players a few weeks to acclimate themselves with the new characters and story in episode one.

If you’ve never played a Life is Strange game, both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm are available as part of Xbox Game Pass, and we highly recommend all of them. Moving right along, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the release of the indie fighting game Absolver on January 7.

Absolver uses a unique style of martial arts combat and a living, breathing world where you can learn new techniques from others to truly hone your unique style. Finally, Just Cause 3 and Aftercharge will both release on January 10. In the future, additional Xbox Game Pass releases for the month of January may be announced.
