Nintendo plans to launch Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Nvidia Shield Android-based tablet in China.
Nintendo intends to release a selection of Wii and Gamecube games in 1080p for the device, with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Punch-out!! also set for launch.
As reported by analyst ZhugeX, the deal was forged between Chinese distribution company iQiyi, Nvidia and Nintendo.

The shield has launched today in China as a fully localized device. Considering the market is often treated uniquely by developers and manufacturers, it’s unclear if this deal will extend to other countries in time.
Nintendo has a close relationship with Nvidia, with the Switch architecture based off Nvidia’s Tegra chip. The fact that Gamecube games are being tested on another Nvidia device may lend some credence to reports that they’ll soon be coming to the Switch itself, as Eurogamer reported last year. We certainly wouldn’t complain about that if true.
