Yes, there’s a way to fast travel in Far Cry New Dawn. To utilize the fast travel system, you’ll first need to unlock it. Fortunately, unlocking it is as simple as playing through the opening segments of the game until you reach the town of Prosperity. Upon reaching Prosperity, the fast travel mechanic will be automatically unlocked in Far Cry New Dawn.

To fast travel, simply open your in-game map, then select the area you wish to go. Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to fast travel to areas you’ve previously visited. A few options will then be presented to you. From these options, choose “fast travel” and then wait for Far Cry New Dawn to load you into the area you selected. Again, you can only fast travel to areas you’ve previously visited.

To unlock new areas, we recommend embarking on Expeditions in addition to completing the main story campaign. Of course, fast travel can come in handy early on if you need to quickly return to Prosperity from an Outpost. Later on in the game, you have the ability to expand your fast travel capabilities.

You can expand your fast travel capabilities by visiting Roger Cadoret and exchanging Ethanol in exchange for upgrades to the Expeditions area of Prosperity.

To do this, return to Prosperity and pay a visit to Roger Cadoret. As long as you have 75 Ethanol on hand (which can be acquired by scavenging Outposts), you’ll be able to unlock the first upgrade to the Expeditions section. The second upgrade can be unlocked by exchanging 125 Ethanol, and so on.

By investing time into scavenging Outposts for Ethanol and using that Ethanol to upgrade the Expeditions section of Prosperity, you’ll be able to unlock all of the game’s fast travel opportunities, including the ability to Air Drop to a specific location.
