Sign up to design a real life Fortnite-style battle royale arena

Get paid $60,000 to make a battle royale arena on a private island for people to play out their Fortnite fantasies in.

Are you a prolific Fortnite builder? Ever wanted to design your own battle royale arena for 100 hapless people to fight to be the last one standing? Well, here's your chance, except this time in real life.

A mysterious millionaire (or cabal of mysterious millionaires) is planning to hold a battle royale on a private island and needs a designer to put the finishing touches to the arena. They're offering a 'talented gamemaker' £45,000 ($60,000) for a six-week project to turn one of the site's wealthy customers' private islands into a real-life re-imagining of Fortnite's battle royale battleground.

Supposedly no-one will actually be landing a killstreak to get themselves to the topspot, as the listing on "Amazon for millionaires" Hush Hush says: "Contestants will be provided with Airsoft guns, ammo and touch-sensitive body armour for a three-day event."

The winner of the event itself will bag themselves £100,000 ($130,000) if they can survive the gruelling 12 hours of Airsoft combat each day. As it's held over multiple days, we imagine there'll be some element of camping involved too. As soon as there's a sign-up sheet for competitors we'll let you know, but for now if you want to help design the battle royale arena for that lucrative $60,000 fee, head over to the Hush Hush site.
