The Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals is one of the first tournaments based around Fortnite’s newly added Creative Mode. In Creative Mode, players are free to design levels and modes as they see fit, rather than play the standard Battle Royale or Save the World modes. Addressing the upcoming Fortnite World Cup Creative tournament, Epic Games notes:

“The road to the Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals includes five showcase events running from April 29th - June 7th. Every week, you’ll have a chance to try out the latest creative trial and submit your best clip using the event-specific hashtag on YouTube. Our special Fortnite captains will select the top submissions as winners.

The selected winners each week will be headed to New York City to participate in the Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals. We’ll kick things off with the first trial, built and judged by Cizzorz. Tune into Fortnite’s social channels and follow Cizzorz online for the latest news on the first creative trial. Every other week, a new creative trial will be revealed with more opportunities to qualify for the finals.”

In the rules listed by Epic Games, the tournament appears to be open to participants 13 years of age or older, which will certainly open things up to a wider pool of contestants. For minors, permission from a parent or legal guardian is required. Additionally, only one Submission is allowed per person.

Should you be selected as one of the 15 Finalists, you’ll receive $5,000 (USD) and a guaranteed spot in the Creative Competitions Finale.
