The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse brings expanded indie RPG to Switch

The Swords of Ditto's Switch release has more of everything and is coming very, very soon.

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse will release the indie cartoon RPG roguelite on Nintendo Switch in just two short weeks.

The Switch release for Swords of Ditto's expanded version is set for May 2, and will bring with it more enemies, dungeons, bosses, gadgets and NPCs for you to run into solo or with a friend. It's also removed the slightly annoying spectre of permadeath, which was turning many players off the PS4 and PC versions of the game when it originally launched exactly one year ago.

As with most roguelites, the emphasis on Ditto is grabbing loot and improving even when you die and restart. Each new adventure becomes your own legendary story as you seek to overcome the failures of the hero that came before you – which was also you.

You can bring a friend along with local co-op on the Switch, where you can both choose your weapons to wield and items and stickers to equip to improve your chances of not becoming a laughing stock of the village.

There are plenty of side quests and secret missions on the way to confronting Mormo, but you can always go for the speedrun approach to try and kick in the big bad boss right off the bat. You'll probably die though, so focus on loot first.

If you already have Swords of Ditto on PC or PS4, then the new content in Mormo's Curse will be added as a free update on the same date as the Switch release, May 2.

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse will be on sale through the eShop for $14.99 at launch.
