Bloodstained release date trailer is super passive-aggressive

Bloodstained's long-awaited release date comes with an extra side of sass from Castlevania dev Koji Igarashi.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release on June 18 on PS4, PC and Xbox One and one week later, on June 25 for Nintendo Switch, according to a new (and very sassy) release date trailer.

In the trailer, gameplay of Bloodstained, which has been delayed a few times past its originally planned Vita version for summer 2018, is accompanied by comments made by fans who are less than thrilled with the look of Koji Igarashi's Castlevania spiritual successor.

Many comments complaining about how flat the lighting looks, or the colors and details on characters and enemies not being up to par with the classic of the genre, are displayed directly on top of gameplay before Igarashi smashes a wine glass and declares that he'll show them.

The updated graphics definitely look worthy of the year-long delay, with a nice sheen applied to the main character and particle effects and shaders lighting up bosses as they breathe fire or slash magic at you.

What do you think? Is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night looking better now, and are you excited for its release date later this year?
