If you’ve just started Bloodstained then you’re going to need to play for a few hours before you can access character customization as it’s hidden away in a room of the castle. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s character customization option is hidden away in a small part of the castle. You’ll find the room you’re after in the Dian Cécht Cathedral, as shown on the map above. It’s opposite a fast travel point that should let you reach it very easily. There are a few demons and other creatures between the two, but you can always just run past them if you’re not strong enough to take them on.

When you enter for the first time you’ll find yourself faced with one of the demonic barber enemies, only this time he’s not ready to kill or be killed. This demonic barber isn’t prepared to become a real monster, as he's been cursed and needs to perform 666 perfect haircuts in order to return to normal. The catch? If he doesn’t do a good job then he has to kill his clients. Thankfully he’s learned to become very good in the years since.

You’ll only start with a few haircuts though, as you’ll need to explore the castle and find recipe books to unlock more. There’s no cost associated, so you can return to this room whenever you want to change up Miriam’s appearance.
