In Super Mario Maker 2, you have the ability to get new Mii Outfits for your Mii Maker avatar, with a plethora of clothing options to choose from. With the pieces you unlock, you can customize your avatar however you like. While there are a few default options available, others require you to unlock them in-game.

As noted above, there are dozens upon dozens of Mii Outfit options in Super Mario Maker 2 that can be unlocked for your Mii Maker avatar. Customizing your avatar is a fun, yet completely optional component to the game. To edit your avatar, you’ll need to open the Course World game mode, then interact with your Mii to customize.
There are a variety of symbols representing different outfit pieces such as tops, bottoms, and full outfit sets. As you unlock different pieces of clothing, you can put together an avatar that truly represents you in Super Mario Maker 2. Struggling to get a certain item? - Royal Crown: Unlocks after you earn your first Gold Medal with spikes.

- Parent-and-Child Skirt: Unlocks when you complete a course first before anyone else.
- Staredown Shirt: Unlocks after you earn 2,000 Maker Points.
