Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release confirmed in Social Club source code

Red Dead Redemption 2's PC release is all but confirmed thanks to some lines in Rockstar's Social Club source code.

A Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release has been all but confirmed thanks to an update to Rockstar's Social Club adding some source code strings.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted references to "RDR2_PC_Accomplishments" alongside the strings for PS4 Trophies with identical naming conventions.

If you'd like to check the Rockstar Social Club source code yourself, you can search through for the above string in this specific Javascript file.

We've been waiting for a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release for a long time now, and if functionality is being added to Social Club to support it then we may not be waiting for much longer.

Red Dead Redemption 2's PC release is at this point more than nine months behind the console release on October 26, 2018. The RDR2 Online component came out of beta in May 2019, so there's a lot for the PC crowd to catch up on.

Is this the final piece of evidence we need to get our hopes up for a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release this year? We think so, how about you?
