New Joy-Con color options coming in October

Spice up your Nintendo Switch with these newly announced Joy-Con color options!

In addition to the official release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3, Nintendo announced today that two new Joy-Con color options are coming this October. For collectors, or gamers simply looking to mix and match existing sets, the newest Joy-Con colors are definitely worth checking out.

The new Joy-Con color options include a Blue and Neon Yellow set, as well as a Neon Orange and Neon Purple set. Of the two, we feel the Blue and Neon Yellow pair looks more aesthetically pleasing. That said, you can always mix and match with other Joy-Con combos. As of right now, each set will cost you $79.99 and will be available for purchase starting on October 4.

What’s interesting about the release date for these new Joy-Con sets is that it mirrors the Amazon Mexico leak reported earlier in the week. However, the Amazon Mexico leak was mistaken as the release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3, rather than the release date for new Joy-Cons. We now know that Luigi’s Mansion 3 is scheduled to release on October 31, though the October 4 date is still relevant thanks to Nintendo’s Joy-Con announcement.

Before October rolls around, you’ll want to bookmark August on your calendar as a new Nintendo Switch with improved battery life will be released as well as September 20. Not only will September 20 include the launch of the cheaper Nintendo Switch Lite, it's also the date Link’s Awakening is set to release. Until then, what are your thoughts on the new Joy-Con color combinations? Do you plan to buy a set, like the Blue and Neon Yellow option? Let us know down in the comments below!
