Detective Pikachu will be available for digital purchase on July 23. Starting on July 23, you’ll be able to either rent or buy Detective Pikachu digitally through websites like Amazon. The digital purchase price for Detective Pikachue is listed at $19.99. All physical versions of the film, including the Best Buy exclusive SteelBook, are scheduled to release on August 6.

As such, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer if you’d rather own the physical version of Detective Pikachu, though pre-order options are available now. If you’ve already settled on buying the physical version, you can pre-order at some of the retailers listed below. There are different versions from the standard DVD purchase all the way up to the exclusive SteelBook which includes a 4K Ultra HD blu-ray.

If you missed out on seeing Detective Pikachu in theaters, we highly recommend it. In our review of the film here at AllGamers, we noted that the film “sets the standard for future video games that will be hard to match.” Again, the digital version of Detective Pikachu is available starting on July 23. Meanwhile, physical copies of Detective Pikachu won’t release until August 6, though you can pre-order right now.
