As you partake in battles your weapons will wear down and it’s important that you learn how to repair them in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. While some weapons have higher levels of durability than others, all of them will require repairs at some point after use. To repair weapons in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you’ll need to reach at least Chapter 5 in the story.

Once you reach Chapter 5, head over to the Merchant area of the Marketplace and look for the Blacksmith. Interact with the Blacksmith and you’ll receive a small quest from her. In order to repair weapons at the Blacksmith, you must first complete this quest. After the quest is complete and you’ve returned to the Blacksmith, interact with her again to either Repair or Forge weapons.

To restore the durability of one of your weapons, simply select the Repair option at the Blacksmith. Note that Smithing Stones may be required in addition to Gold when Repairing or Forging weapons at the Blacksmith. To get more Smithing Stones, you’ll want to complete Group Tasks and explore the Monastery during each of your Free Days.

You can also purchase Smithing Stones in exchange for Gold from select Merchants in the Marketplace. For rarer weapons like the Sword of the Creator, materials like Umbral Steel may also be required. These materials can only be collected through activities like Rare Monster Sightings. To repair weapons without visiting the Blacksmith, you can choose to rest during a Free Day.

In doing so, you’ll restore 5 durability to your weapons, including ones like the Sword of the Creator. Note that choosing not to use a Free Day is a high price to pay for just 5 durability, so be sure to use this option sparingly!
