Starting August 5 at 9 p.m. (EST) and lasting until August 12 at 4 a.m. (EST), Pokemon GO players will have the opportunity to catch all previous event Pikachu in the wild such as Santa Pikachu and Summer Straw Hat Pikachu. What’s cool about this is the fact that all special event Pikachu are being reintroduced including the original Ash hat Pikachu.

According to the tweet from Pokemon GO, Pikachu will appear wearing a different hat each day, encouraging players to check back daily in order to catch all variations. To help you replenish your supply of Poke Balls needed to catch all of these event Pikachu, gift storage is getting a temporary boost from August 5 until August 19. With this boost, you’ll be able to store up to 20 gifts and open 30 gifts max per day.

Released in conjunction with the August events are Shiny Bonsly and Sudowoodo, with Shiny Bonsly having the chance to hatch from Eggs received through gifts. If you haven’t already, we recommend jumping into Pokemon GO and sending gifts out to all your friends. While you’re at it, keep an eye out for any event Pikachu you might’ve missed in the wild!
