Each and every week in Destiny 2, Xur appears at random starting on Friday. By finding and interacting with him, you’re able to purchase Exotic items. Given that Xur’s location is randomized, it can be time-consuming to seek him out in Destiny 2. What’s more, because Xur acts as an Exotic goods vendor, visiting him can be useful if he has something you’re interested in buying.
During the week of August 9, you’ll be able to meet up with Xur and purchase a new batch of Exotic armor pieces along with an Exotic weapon. After August 13, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday to speak with Xur again. At that time, Xur will have moved to a new location and his inventory will refresh. Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - August 9, 2019

Every week, Xur’s location changes in Destiny 2. Starting on Friday, Xur will appear at a new location, with his locations varying though Xur does tend to cycle through a pattern of familiar spots. When you find Xur, you can interact with him and browse his inventory of Exotic gear, with all items available for purchase in exchange for Legendary Shards.
Starting on Friday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST), Xur is available as an Exotic goods vendor in Destiny 2. Xur will remain at the same location until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) and won’t reappear until the following Friday at the same time.
During the week of August 9, Xur can be found at a rarer location. Specifically, Xur is located on Nessus in the Watcher’s Grave area. To reach him, spawn in on Nessus, then make your way over to the top of Calus’ Barge in the Watcher’s Grave area.
What Xur is Selling in Destiny 2 - August 9, 2019

During the week of August 9 through August 13, Xur can be found selling a unique array of Exotic items. In Destiny 2, everything sold by Xur can be purchased in exchange for Legendary Shards, with most items priced at or around 23 Legendary Shards in total. Not only can you purchase Exotic armor for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks, you can also purchase an Exotic weapon from Xur as well as a Fated Engram.
Wondering what Exotic items are available from August 9 through August 13? Below, we’ve listed all Exotic goods sold by Xur in Destiny 2 this week!
- The Colony (Exotic Grenade Launcher) - 29 Legendary Shards
- ACD/O Feedback Fence (Exotic Titan Gauntlets) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Shards of Galanor (Exotic Hunter Gauntlets) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Chromatic Fire (Exotic Warlock Chest) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
In addition to Exotic armor pieces like the Shards of Galanor, Xur also has The Colony Exotic grenade launcher available with some spicy rolls attached. Unlike the previous week, Xur does not have a new Invitation of the Nine available. Instead, it’s the standard array of Exotic armor pieces, the Exotic weapon, a Fated Engram, and a Five of Swords challenge card.
