7 Best Active Scout Tanks in World of Tanks

These active scouts will have you spotting enemies while you zoom around the map.

T71

With a main gun that offers high burst damage, the T71 can get itself out of a jam while scouting.

Tier 7 is where World of Tanks becomes more serious, though active scouting is still a viable option. The T71 is an American Light tank with an interesting build that makes it more difficult to remain hidden. Despite this, the T71 can still quickly navigate the terrain thanks to its excellent mobility and speed.

Even if the T71 does find itself in combat, the primary guns offer great burst damage. Considering the fact that you won’t be able to penetrate the frontal armor of many vehicles, the T71 is best used when flanking and blasting away at a tank’s rear.

Like other active tanks, the T71 lacks armor, making it a prime target for enemies looking to pick up a quick kill. The oddly shaped frontal hull armor can sometimes bounce shots, though, thus saving the tank from destruction in a pinch.

Be sure to look over our consumable guide, as the T71 is prone to having its tracks broken and its engine disabled. Consider taking into battle both kinds of Repair Kits, especially if you’re a bold player (just be sure you know when to use consumables in World of Tanks).
