The Exo Stranger is Done
There was a moment where players spotted a female NPC in Destiny 2 called Hawthorne. They began to speculate that perhaps Hawthorne was the Exo Stranger, but it turns out that’s probably wrong. The Exo Stranger, played by The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan (Maggie), is probably all done. Luke Smith spoke of this in an interview with PC Gamer.
“We have a bunch of characters who are interesting, but the Exo Stranger is one that always makes me chuckle a little bit. Because I feel that’s one character where we actually wrapped up the arc. She gave you a sweet gun and then dissolved, presumably off to do something else. So I feel like, of all our characters we’ve introduced and exited, we actually exited her effectively.”
While I anticipate Smith will do a wonderful job with the story in Destiny 2, I completely disagree that the Exo Stranger’s story is wrapped up. I’m not the least bit qualified to say so, but doesn’t it feel like there should be more there? Wouldn’t you love to find out more about this person and who they are?
